Tim Stockdale was a superb sportsman, as this video tribute reminds us, and we were so fortunate that many of his best moments took place here at Hickstead. But Tim also had a real talent for being able to explain showjumping to people of all levels, making him a brilliant commentator as well as trainer. He did so much to raise the profile of equestrian sport, and his name will go down in the British showjumping history books as one of the greats.
